Isabel, a Madrid-based artist, presents her latest collection, Reconstruyendo la fragilidad (Rebuilding Fragility), at Baal Gallery. The exhibition is open to the public until the end of November on Válgame Dios Street in Madrid.
Fascinated by how time and experiences shape our perception and essence, Isabel’s work unravels an invisible thread that connects the past, present, and future. For her, fragility is not a weakness but an intrinsic condition of life that allows growth, adaptation, and finding beauty in the imperfect. Her art captures moments of vulnerability that can be reconstructed and transformed into strengths.
We invite you to immerse yourself in your own emotions and find in fragility a place of beauty and renewal.
Isabel reflects on her experiences:
“While I was in Lisbon, I realized many things. Having the sea is not the same as having mountains. I left my city to find myself, and over time I discovered that I was still me. It was me again, in a different place. When I was little in Madrid, I was always looking at the mountains to see if they had snow. In Lisbon, looking at the sea, I missed the mountains. When you leave, you see everything from another angle. Even what you thought was negative, you learn to value and miss.”
“Now I say, what a joy it was to be born in Madrid; I think it’s a wonderful city.”
For Isabel, her art is her life. Whether exhibiting or not, she has never stopped drawing, painting, or photographing. “My art keeps me alive.”
Currently, a selection of Isabel’s photographs (printed on Hahnemühle Museum Etching Paper, 100% cotton, with pigmented ink) is on display at Baal Gallery until mid-November.
