"We need little to have everything."
For Natalia, the home is a space for creation. A place of protection where she reconnects with herself. She begins each day with a meditation, connecting to serenity, and from that safe space, she allows the image of her life to unfold. The house appears, the refuge. And the golden light, spiritual protection.
From silence, she reflects on the world in an intimate and essential way.
In 1991, Natalia moved from her hometown of Zaragoza to Barcelona to study Fine Arts, graduating in 1996. In 2000, she completed a Master's in Scenography and Ephemeral Spaces at UPC and earned her doctoral qualification (DEA) at UB in 2007. She has balanced temporary stays in France, Portugal, and Argentina with her residence in Barcelona, where she currently works.
Painting has been her primary medium of expression, although photography has played a significant role in certain parts of her work. In some projects (CEART in Fuenlabrada, Galería Pepe Rebollo in Zaragoza, Elizalde in Barcelona, and Galería Passevite in Lisbon), Natalia moves beyond the canvas surface into three-dimensional work, embracing an increasingly architectural vision of space.
As a visual artist, she has held more than 20 solo exhibitions since 1996 and participated in over 50 group exhibitions across Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy.
She has also received awards, honorable mentions, and grants from various institutions and both public and private competitions and contests.
Since 2003, she has regularly collaborated with artist Soledad Sevilla, contributing to the production of Sevilla’s works, installations, and exhibitions.
Natalia alternates her personal painting practice with teaching Drawing and Painting, both in her private studio and at the Massana School in Barcelona.
