Cristina Villacieros

Since childhood, she has felt that Nature is her true element.

Her process begins with an emotion, a sensation. She envisions a stain, a mark, and it culminates in the graceful and untamed beauty she had imagined, now brought to life in paint.

Hovering between abstraction and figuration, her work elevates gesture and texture to center stage.

It is the birds that have always flown alongside her, and the magnolia blossoms that speak to her of love, family, and home. They nourish her spirit and guide her back to rest.
